Bereavement and Grief

Grief is a natural process that most people experience when they lose someone with whom they have an emotional connection. While experiencing grief, we can feel sadness, anger, disbelief, panic, relief, anxiety, or numbness. Often, it impacts on our work or social functioning. It can also impact on the way we think. We may ask ourselves, “Why this person?”, “Why now?”, “Will I ever get over this?”, “Am I going crazy?”. Therapy can help us process some of these thoughts and emotions and help ease what can be a huge life transition.
