Cancellation policy.
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. When a session is cancelled at short notice or missed, that time usually can't be offered to someone else who's waiting — so, like most psychology practices, we have a cancellation policy. Here it is in full.
More than 48 hours' notice
No charge. Cancel or reschedule freely — the earlier we know, the easier it is to offer your time to someone else.
Less than 48 hours' notice
50% of the session fee applies.
Less than 24 hours' notice, or non-attendance
The full session fee applies.
Monday appointments: our administrative team is unavailable over weekends. As such, cancellations for Monday appointments must be received no later than 12:00pm on the preceding Friday in order to allow sufficient opportunity to offer the appointment to another client on our waitlist.
Please note: Medicare rebates and other funding schemes generally do not apply to cancellation fees — a cancellation fee is payable in full by you. If something unavoidable comes up, contact us as early as possible; the sooner we hear from you, the more we can do.
Quick and painless.
Call your clinic — Carlton & Ringwood North (03) 9349 2745 or St Kilda (03) 9131 8737 — and if it's outside office hours, leave a voicemail; the time-stamp of your message counts as your notice. Rescheduling is always welcome: moving your appointment to another time with enough notice costs nothing, and often suits everyone better than cancelling outright.
