Dr Gabrielle Klepfisz offers neurodiversity-affirming assessments for adults who wish to determine or explore whether they are neurodivergent. As a parent of a neurodivergent child, she understands the importance of creating a safe, supportive space to explore these questions in a collaborative manner, helping clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves.
Assessments for adults (18+) for Autism and ADHD are available either in person in St Kilda or via Telehealth.
Assessment Options
Gabrielle recommends assessing for both Autism and ADHD simultaneously, given the high co-occurrence between these neurotypes. A combined presentation of Autism and ADHD (often referred to as AuDHD) can manifest quite differently than Autism or ADHD alone. Many individuals remain undiagnosed until adulthood because they may not exhibit the typical traits associated with either diagnosis.
For all assessment types, you can choose between two options:
- An assessment with a summary letter (without a feedback session), or
- A comprehensive assessment with a detailed report and a follow-up feedback session.
The comprehensive report includes relevant background details, test results, findings from diagnostic interviews, formal diagnoses (if applicable), and recommendations.
If you’re unsure which option best suits your needs, feel free to contact us at (03) 9131 8737 or via email at [email protected]

Important Notes:
If you are seeking an ADHD assessment and are interested in being prescribed medication if diagnosed, we recommend seeing a psychiatrist. Psychiatrists usually conduct their own assessments before prescribing medication, even if a psychological report is available. This approach may save you time and money. For those who aren’t seeking medication or are unsure, a psychological assessment can lead to increased self-understanding and together, you can discuss strategies and accommodations that can support your wellbeing in the context of your neurodivergence.
What to Expect During an Assessment
Intake and Initial Consultation:
Before your first consultation, you’ll be asked to complete an intake form to provide some background information. The initial consultation lasts 50 minutes, during which Gabrielle will discuss your concerns, developmental history, and psychological background. Following this session, the diagnostic assessment will be scheduled. You may bring a support person along with you if this makes you feel more at ease.
After the Initial Session:
Gabrielle will ask you to complete several self-report questionnaires before your diagnostic assessment to better understand your traits. These can be completed at your own pace. In addition, input from someone who knew you as a child (such as a family member or close friend), and someone who knows you well now (such as a friend or partner) may be helpful to gather further evidence. School reports, previous assessments, or childhood diaries can also provide valuable insights. While this information is helpful, it is not required for the assessment to go ahead.
The diagnostic assessment, focusing on Autism and/or ADHD, typically involves a 2–3-hour session using the MIGDAS-2 and/or DIVA-5.
Feedback Session:
For those who opt for the comprehensive option, a feedback session will be scheduled approximately 6-8 weeks after the diagnostic assessment. Gabrielle will review your comprehensive report with you, discuss the results, and provide recommendations. If you’ve chosen the summary letter option, it will be sent to you via email, and no feedback session is required.
NDIS Information:
While the assessments and reports are comprehensive in nature, and are completed to high standards, we cannot guarantee that our reports will meet the criteria for NDIS funding. The NDIS assesses eligibility based on individual functioning levels, among other factors. Although recommendations for the NDIS can be included in reports, we are unable to assist with the access request process. If NDIS access is your primary goal, you may want to explore alternative services.
